Our Story

A Family Business, A New Idea for Columbia

New York Bride Last Look of Columbia is the newest chapter in a family-owned story that started in upstate New York more than thirty years ago — and the second outlet location in a brand that's been dressing Carolina brides since 2002.

Where It Started

One small bridal shop in Cicero, New York.

New York Bride & Groom is family-owned and family-run. It was founded in 1994 as a small bridal boutique in Cicero, New York — a single shop, a single family, a single belief that finding the right wedding dress shouldn't feel like a transaction.

In 2002, after a trip south, the family made a decision that would change everything: pack up and move to Charlotte. The Syracuse store stayed open for years afterward and was eventually sold in 2015, but Charlotte became home. And from that one Charlotte location, the brand grew into what Carolina brides know today — a small chain of full-service salons, an elevated outlet in Greensboro, and now a second outlet right here in Columbia.

The principles haven't changed. Same family. Same belief that a great dress doesn't have to mean a great big price tag.

"We believe you do not have to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to have an amazing and unique wedding gown." — from the founders, since day one
Thirty Years, Five Locations

How a Cicero boutique became a Carolina family.

A quick timeline of the road from upstate New York to St Andrews Road in Columbia.

1994

The First Shop

New York Bride & Groom opens as a small bridal boutique in Cicero, New York — a family business from the start.

2002

The Move to Charlotte

After a trip to the Carolinas, the family relocates south. A new chapter in a new city — and a new home for the brand.

2010

The Charlotte Flagship

The Charlotte salon expands into a 15,000-square-foot modern luxury bridal store — the brand's flagship to this day.

2015

Raleigh Opens

A second full-service Carolina salon opens in Garner — serving the entire Raleigh-Durham metro.

2019

Columbia Joins the Family

New York Bride of Columbia opens at 270 St Andrews Rd — a 13,000-square-foot full-service salon for South Carolina brides.

2023

The Last Look Concept

The first New York Bride Last Look opens in Greensboro — an elevated outlet built around designer sample gowns at 50–75% off retail. A new way to shop, same family standards.

2026

Last Look Comes to Columbia

The second Last Look outlet opens at 324 St Andrews Rd Ste B-C, — same shopping center as the full-service Columbia salon, just a few doors down. A dedicated outlet for South Carolina brides shopping a budget.

Why Columbia Got Its Own Outlet

The Midlands deserved its own Last Look.

For years, South Carolina brides who wanted outlet pricing on designer gowns had one option in the family: drive nearly four hours north to the Last Look in Greensboro. For a lot of brides, that was the deal-breaker.

Tracy Burke — the owner and CEO of New York Bride & Groom — has a different way of putting it. She has always believed "Last Look could be a destination for South Carolina brides on a budget." Columbia made the most sense. The full-service New York Bride of Columbia location at 270 St Andrews Rd had been serving Midlands brides since 2019. The neighborhood was already a bridal destination. And the building right next door — same shopping center, same parking lot, roughly 500 feet from front door to front door — was available.

So that's where Last Look Columbia opened. 324 St Andrews Rd Ste B-C,. A short walk from the full-service salon, with a completely separate inventory of designer sample gowns priced at 50 to 75 percent off retail. No appointment. No pressure. No four-hour drive.

It's the first time a Carolina city has had both formats — a full-service NYB salon and a dedicated Last Look outlet — in the same shopping center. For brides in Columbia, that's a real change.

An Outlet, Not a Salon

What "Last Look" actually means.

Last Look is its own concept — and it isn't a smaller version of a full-service bridal salon. Three things make it different.

01

Off-the-rack only.

Every gown at Last Look Columbia is a designer sample — the same dresses that lived in full-service showrooms for try-ons and consultations. You see it, you try it, you take it home that day. No ordering. No four-month wait. The dress on the rack is the dress that's yours.

02

50 to 75 percent off retail.

Gowns are priced from $295 to $949 — up to 75 percent off the original designer retail. Same labels you'd see at a full-service salon — Allure, Maggie Sottero, Morilee, Justin Alexander, Lillian West, and more — at a fraction of the price. No haggling. The number on the tag is the number you pay.

03

Walk in. No appointment.

No booking, no consultant assignment, no time limit on your visit. Come alone or bring a few of your people — we recommend two or three guests so everyone can shop comfortably, especially on busy Saturdays. The store stays open Tuesday through Thursday 11 AM to 7 PM and Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM.

The NYB Family

Five Carolina locations. One family.

Each store is independent in what it offers, but the standards — and the family — are the same across all of them.

The Promise

Designer looks at a popular price.

That sentence has been the brand promise at New York Bride for more than thirty years — and it's the entire idea behind Last Look. A designer gown should be a real option for a real budget. The label on the dress should be the label you'd see in any bridal magazine. The price tag shouldn't be the reason you can't say yes.

Every gown at Last Look Columbia is here because a bride somewhere else should be able to afford it. That's the whole job.

If you're shopping a budget — or if you just don't see the point in paying full price for a dress you'll wear once — Last Look Columbia is built for you. Walk in. Take your time. Find the one.

Common Questions

What Brides Ask About Last Look

Honest answers about how our outlet works — ordering, veils, and alterations.

No — Last Look Columbia is a pure outlet, so every gown is sold off the rack in the size and color it is. If you would like to order a gown in your size, our full-service salons do that.

Veils are not included at New York Bride Last Look of Columbia. Last Look Columbia does not take custom orders, so the custom-order veil does not apply here.

No — alterations are done at our Charlotte store only. If you bought your gown at Last Look Columbia, you're welcome to bring it to our Charlotte seamstresses. Last Look gowns are sold off the rack and go home with you the same day, so any alterations happen afterward. You can bring the gown to our team in Charlotte, or take it to a seamstress closer to you — whichever suits. We work on any gown bought from a New York Bride store, and a Last Look purchase counts.
