Outlet Bridal Shopping, Explained

How Outlet Bridal Shopping Works

Never shopped an outlet before? Here's exactly what to expect — from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out with your dress.

1
What "Off the Rack" Actually Means

These aren't seconds. They're samples.

Every gown at New York Bride Last Look of Columbia is a designer sample — the same dresses that appeared in our showrooms for bridal fittings and consultations. They are cared for, inspected, and in excellent condition.

"Off the rack" simply means the gown is already here, in its current size, ready to try on and take home today. It does not mean damaged. It does not mean leftover. It means you can say yes right now — and walk out with your wedding dress the same afternoon.

The labels are real: Allure Bridals, Maggie Sottero, Morilee, Justin Alexander, Lillian West, and more. The only difference from full-price retail is the price tag — and that's entirely the point.

2
How the Pricing Works

50–75% off. No haggling. No surprises.

Gowns at Last Look Columbia start at $295 and go up to $949 — representing 50 to 75 percent off the original retail price. Every gown has its price clearly marked. No negotiating, no flash sales, no hidden costs.

The price you see is the price you pay. That's it.

For context: a designer gown that retails for $2,000 at a full-service salon could be on our rack for $600–$800. Same label. Same dress. Fraction of the price.

3
Walk In — No Appointment Needed

Come whenever it works for you.

Last Look Columbia is a walk-in bridal boutique. No appointment. No reservation. No consultant assignment. Come alone or bring a few of your people — we recommend keeping it to two or three guests so everyone can shop comfortably, especially on busy Saturdays.

We're open Tuesday through Thursday 11 AM–7 PM and Friday and Saturday 10 AM–5 PM. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Browse at your own pace. Ask for help whenever you want it. There's no pressure and no clock on your visit.

4
What to Expect During Your Visit

Walk in. Browse. Try on. Say yes.

When you arrive, you'll find hundreds of designer gowns organized on the floor. Browse freely. Pull anything that catches your eye — don't overthink the hanger, because these dresses look completely different on.

When you're ready to try something on, ask one of our staff members. They'll help you in and out of gowns and answer any questions you have about the collection.

If you find your dress, it goes home with you that day. If you don't find the one on this visit, come back — our inventory rotates regularly and new gowns arrive often.

5
Sizes Available

A range of sizes across hundreds of gowns.

Last Look Columbia carries a broad range of sizes across our collection. Because inventory rotates, the best way to know what's available in your size right now is to visit or call us at (803) 574-6400.

We'd rather you come in and see for yourself than trust a list that may have changed since we updated it.

6

Last Look Columbia is a pure outlet — we focus entirely on connecting you with your dress at the right price.

Plan to have your gown professionally altered after purchase. This is standard practice for any wedding gown purchase regardless of where you buy it. Your local seamstress will measure you and fit the gown to your exact specifications.

Before You Arrive

What to bring to your outlet visit

A little prep makes the whole experience smoother.

Your measurements

Bust, waist, and hips if you have them. Not required, but helpful when checking size options on the floor.

A strapless bra

Most bridal gowns are strapless or have low backs. A strapless bra gives you the most accurate idea of how the gown will look on your wedding day.

Easy slip-on shoes

You'll be stepping in and out of gowns. Shoes you can take on and off quickly make the session much smoother.

Your people

Bring whoever helps you make decisions — mom, best friend, future mother-in-law. We recommend two or three guests; the space is intimate, so smaller groups shop best, especially on busy Saturdays.

Inspo photos (optional)

Not required, but if you have a style direction — silhouette, neckline, fabric — having a few saved images helps our staff understand what you're drawn to.

A way to pay

If you find your dress, it goes home today. Be ready to purchase if you say yes — gowns at outlet prices move quickly and can't be held.

Common Questions About Outlet Bridal Shopping

Everything you need to know before you walk in the door.

At a bridal outlet like New York Bride Last Look of Columbia you buy off the rack and take the gown home the same day; at a salon you order your gown and it's made for you. New York Bride Last Look carries designer sample and overstock gowns at outlet pricing. There's no ordering window, so it suits a shorter timeline or a firmer budget. Our full-service salons are where you special-order, get in-house alterations and the Say Yes Experience.

You walk into Last Look Columbia, browse at your own pace, pull anything you like and try it on — no appointment, and no consultant assigned to you. Gowns are arranged by style and size. If you find the one, you buy it and it leaves with you that day. The whole thing can happen in a single visit.

Bring three measurements — bust, waist and hips — and you will know which gowns to pull from the floor. Measure your bust at the fullest part, your waist about an inch above your belly button, and your hips at the fullest part. Bridal sizing runs differently from street sizing, so your measurements tell you far more than your usual dress size.

New York Bride Last Look of Columbia carries gowns from roughly bridal size 6 to 28+, in both standard and curvy styles. Bridal sizing runs two to four sizes larger than street sizing, so the number on the tag is not your normal dress size — our stylists will size you when you arrive.
